1st PFDJ Youth Conference held in Khartoum Sudan

Eritrean Youth Conference convened in Khartoum, on Thursday the 22 April 2010. Attending the PFDJ - Youth Conference in Khartoum were over 70 Eritrean youth representatives from different part of Sudan.

Mr. Abdella Jaber, Head of Organizational Affairs at the People’s Front for Justice and Democracy (PFDJ) led the Conference. The purpose of the meeting said Mr. Abdella Jaber, was to re-kindle a strong conscious and patriotic Youth in Sudan.

The goal of the on-going educational Conferences, both inside Eritrea and in the Diaspora are designed to harness and build a “Patriotic, Conscious, Youth Movement”, which will build on Eritrea’s past achievements, experiences and safeguard inherited values critical for Eritrea’s desire for a sustainable economic, political and social development.

H.E. Issa Ahmed Issa, Eritrean Ambassador to Sudan, presented the opening remarks by welcoming the participants and wishing them much success. Ambassador Issa said, that Eritrean youth, cognizant of their responsibilities to safeguard and defend the proud culture and values inherited from the Eritrean People’s Liberation Front (EPLF), are participating in this historic Conference to set the foundations for achieving Eritrea’s development strategies.

Representatives of the National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW) and representatives of PFDJ also presented congratulatory messages of solidarity.
