Endless Love (Zeymewut Fkri) is a film about love, devotion and family. Hidat, who is a young mother of a boy, awaits the return of her husband, Merhawi, who has gone to war to defend his nation. Hidat worries a lot about Merhawi as he has not written a letter for long time. Hidat’s older brother who raised her like a father, attempts constantly to reassure her that Merhawi will return from the war alive. However Hidat misses her husband immensely as she remembers all the happy times that she spent with him. Sami, who barley remembers what his father looked like, asks when his daddy will be back home, which also puts pressure on Hidat.

This film is one of the best Eritrean movies. It is subtitled in English so it can be watched by any one. The acting by all the actors is a Hollywood standard. The actors’ body language is well matched by what they say which is something that lack in some Eritrean films.

The story is very gripping, like Hidat you will await impatiently to find out what happens to Merhawi. Unlike many other films, the story is not just about the main character, Hidat; it is also about people around her. One of her best friend comes under bad influence of her boyfriend. It is equally interesting to watch how that relationship ends.
Endless love is a very moving film, and it has some happy moments. It is being sold in the UK and other countries around the world.
